Take two bored University of Southern Mississippi students with a real knack for pop songwriting, give them ten years to amass a catalog of material and then throw me in the mix on drums. Next… talk the owner of a Belgian record label into giving you a small budget, fly a native Mississippi producer back home from Los Angeles and PRESTO! You’ve got the debut Great Big Buildings disc! We even managed to get a review into Melody Maker magazine (UK).

Recorded at Parallax Studio in Ridgeland, Mississippi by James Griffin and Roby Duke and mixed in Los Angeles by Roby. Kenny Nowell-guitar and vocals; Steve Long-bass and lead vocals; Denny Burkes-drums; Jane Kelly Williams-backing vocals. Released on CD and 12-inch vinyl (along with a 7-inch vinyl single and CD-single) in 1990 on Belgium’s Les Disques du Crépuscule label.
